LVRC Hog Hill summer series 7 - Thursday 29th July 2010

After a long weekend of drinking in Wales I knuckled down to a  Brickendon time trial time of 22.59 on Tuesday evening with beer perspiring from my forehead.

On Wednesday night I decided to give the A10 Southbound TT a try with yet more beer perspiring from my forehead and managed to complete in a time  of 23.10.

Thursday evening saw me turn up at Hog Hill for the last round of the LVRC as the sole North Road rider.

The start was quite frantic as two riders broke away from the C D group that had started with half a lap gap. After some hard work by myself and three others we caught and passed the C D group and then one lap later the leading two riders who had broken away.

With two laps remaining as we where about to lap the CD group again, I found myself cunningly jumping from the back of the A/B group to the front of the C D with no one following me.

It then looked like I had two hard laps on my, but with some encouragement from Frank Rawlings. watching from the sidelines. I managed to hold my advantage, and with one  final hard push up the hill rode to a well deserved first WIN !
