Name Dave Kiely
Nickname (if any) Butters (from South Park)
Age 44
Years cycling 12ish
Joined club Always. But nothing sporty till I joined NRCC
Where do you live Cheshunt
Favourite rider and why Indurain. A bit boring, but he was just class. Resting heart rate of 26. And his grimace looked like a smile.
How would you describe your riding style Cak-footed
Cycling Strengths Can take one hand off the bars momentarily
Cycling Weaknesses Puncture repair whilst chatting (multitasking.)
Favourite ride Do I have to name her ?
Best race performance (if any) A doomed escape attempt at Hog hill was fun. Although I died a thousand deaths in the last 20 m.
Best day on a bike The top of the Ventoux
Worst day on a bike The forest on the Ventoux
Most embarrassing cycling moment When I put a tyre on the wheel inside out because I was in denial about needing glasses. Drove all the way to Devon for a sportive, punctured after 3 miles on a shredded tyre and drove all the way home.
Best training tip Watch what you eat
Cycling food A kipper in the back pocket keeps em off your wheel.
Best/Worst Crash 29 bus drove into me in Holloway. Only road rash ++.
Dream bike Don't care. But not from ASDA.
Favourite cycling saying Cath can I borrow the car ?
