Simon Best and Neil Lewis competed in the league event, racing in the A’s and B’s respectively. Following a heavy shower at 6.30 the racing was delayed and senior racing finally got underway at 7.45 pm and despite the usual Gosling micro-climate the evening was very warm. In the opening 10 lap scratch event both riders placed 5th in their respective events, Simon only getting reeled in with 100m to go after a solo attack with 2 laps to go. Simon placed 4th in the A group block pursuit and Neil also picked up a placing with a 3rd in the B group devil. Both started the 10 mile event but withdrew before the end to save the legs for upcoming events over the weekend.
