Tuesday night Brickendon Time Trial Series

The North Road organises a weekly time trial series, running on Tuesday evenings from May to August, starting at 7pm. Arrive earlier to give yourself time to sign on and warm up. A maximum 30 rider field is allowed and entries from non-members are welcomed, although North Road members do have priority. The course is a 9.1-mile circuit starting in Brickendon near Hertford. The HQ is at Brickendon Green Village Hall, where signing on starts from around 6:40pm and refreshments are after racing. A map of the HQ and course can be found here. The circuit is described as "sporting" with a challenging climb around halfway and several fast flat sections. Taking place mainly on fairly quiet roads, it is both a good introduction to racing against the clock and a tough challenge for experienced riders looking to improve their times.

Points are awarded to members according to their placing each evening and a season long league table is compiled each year, with the winner receiving a prize at the Club's Dinner in November. There is also a prize available for the "Best Improver" over the course of the season.

Course details: Proceed from outside Brickendon Village Hall down Brickendon Lane where turn left onto the B158. Take the left turn for Robins Nest Hill to Little Berkhampstead where turn left for Epping Green. Left to Bayford where turn right and back to Brickendon.

£5.00 entry fee for non-members, £3.50 for members.
