Herts Wheelers High Five Audax

Hertfordshire Wheelers Cycling Club is once again organising an Audax, a long distance self-guided cycle ride with a brevet card to be stamped at checkpoints.

There are two routes, a 100k ride and a 200k ride. The 100k ride passes through Hertfordshire and Essex. The 200k High Five ride passes through the highest points of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex.

North Road usually sends a strong contingent and it can be a really enjoyable (and long) day in the saddle. The route heads out into the Chilterns, via the Musette, around Tring and Wendover, back to Emily's and Mill End, then a loop North around Nuthampstead, with maybe a beer at Anstey before the scoot back to Ware.

• Both routes include stops at cafés or pubs where you can pause for relaxation and re-fuelling.
• Showers and changing facilities at start/finish HQ.
• Snacks available at the start, food available for entrants at the finish
• Bar service at end of ride
• Plenty of car-parking
• Within easy reach of Ware railway station.
