Christmas 10
Mon 08 Dec 2025
4 riders and 4 winners
On a wet December morning 4 riders turned up to compete in the 2025 Christmas Brickendon 10. Unfortunately only one of the riders was dressed appropriately for the festive season. The course was shortened due to roadworks so the start was just before the Farmers Boy but the finish was in the normal spot.
The first to sign on was John Naylor, in his new skin suit, which when he tried to fit his number in the pocket the pocket appeared to be too small. When he commented on this the reply he received was that the numbers were the standard size as specified by the CTT and it was up to the rider to ensure that they bought a skinsuit with a suitably sized pocket.
Second to sign on was Ashley Glass, in his festive dress, well not a dress literally but a festive hat and tinsel on his bike.
Third to sign on was Richard Webster in a trialthlon suit and his normal TT bike.
Last to sign on was John Saysell who did not make his mind up to the last second as to whether he was riding or not.
| Place | Name | Machine | Time |
| 1 | Richard Webster | TT | 24:33 |
| 2 | John Naylor | RB | 27:12 |
| 3 | John Saysell | RB | 30:34 |
| 4 | Ashley Glass | RB | 31:18 |
Whilst the table above shows Richard Webster as the winner there were actually 5 winners.
Fastest time on a TT bike - Richard Webster
Fastest time on a RB - John Naylor
Fastest time on a Winter training bike- John Saysell
Fastest time on a mountain bike - Ashley Glass
Most festively dressed cyclist - Ashley Glass
The prizes were a cyclist's tea consisting of lemon drizzle cake, warmed mince pies, cheese, onion and chilli sausage rolls plus tea or coffee.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
