John Saysell -" I finished with only one wheel"
Five members and 5 guests faced the timekeepers on this warm evening. After a discussion as to where the start was to be, because of people parking next to the tennis court, all 10 were successfully dispatched, sent on their way, not killed.
First across the finishing line was John Saysell in a slow time, for him, of 25:20. He was complaining about finishing with only 1 wheel and on closer inspection he had lost a jockey wheel on the Lower Hatfield Road which explained his weaving ride up the last hill.
Fastest time of the night went to Chris Symonds with a time of 23:53 with James Moss recording 24:42.
Aaron Hemsley of Islington Cycling Club, but who was previously a North Roader, made his first recent appearance at the 10 recording a time of 24:47.
