Bananaman Relay Triathlon - Sun 13th July 09

Nine of us from Deutsche Bank and decided to enter three relay teams into the Bananaman Triathlon which took place at Dorney Lake yesterday.

My team was called ‘The Good the Bad and the Ugly’, it consisted of my friend Dorota (the good) on the swim section, myself (the ugly) on the bike section and my mate Jake (the bad) did the run section.

The distances were 750m swim, 30k bike, 7.5k run.

Our times were –

Overall – 1:35:03 (6th place), swim – 15:25 (52nd), bike – 51.09 (9th), run – 26:49 (4th)

We were the first of the three Deutsche Bank teams home and surprisingly finished 6th overall out of 110 teams which we were naturally chuffed about as we had only entered it as a bit of fun. It was a really good event, weather was a bit wet and windy but on the whole it was a great day.
