Welwyn Track League 22nd July.
Ian Coles, Abigail Coles, John Munns and Simon Best all turned up hoping the rain would hold off for the latest round of the track league. Unfortunately only three races could be run before the skies opened up and evening was called off. Ian Coles was lucky to get a race in the ten lap scratch before the rain started (unfortunately Simon missed the start) and he was active from the start in a couple of early breaks. Sensing that this could be his only race of the evening he took advantage of a last minute attack and chase down by Welwyn Wheelers and took a lead out at 200 metres and a frantic sprint for his first win of the season. John Munns started the next scratch race and three laps in the heavens opened and the evening was called off.
