Fifteen North Roaders and two guest riders competed in the First Club 25 at Guilden Morden. European Duathlon Champion David Vaughan took the honours riding the first lap (11.5 miles) in 28:42 and the second lap (13.5 miles) in 31:59. His final time was 1:00:41, taking 36 seconds out of Mike Bridge. The handicap winner was Alan Harvey finishing in seventh with 1:05:26 – his handicap time was 57:26. Unfortunately for Dave Candy, he punctured and did not finish with Nick Harris and Gareth Wilmot going off course
