Welwyn Track League - 16th May 2008

Week 4 of the Wellwyn track league saw Ian Coles as the sole representative for North Road. He didn't feature in the first event of the evening, the 10 lap scratch race for the 'B's, but North Road 2nd claim member George Olive managed a fine win in the 'A' race riding for VC St Raphael.

In the 10 lap block handicap Ian was positioned in the back group and had a lot of ground to make up on the field. The group left it a bit late to catch the last rider and Ian claimed 2nd place. 

In the 'Devil' Ian made it to the penultimate lap before making a schooolboy error and getting caught on the inside, and in the 10 mile he didn't finish after an early but over eager attack in the first few laps.
