Welwyn Track League - 30th May 2008

Richard Somerset and Warren Cobb rode in round 6 of the Welwyn Track League at Gosling Stadium, Welwyn Garden City

In the first event for B riders, the 10 lap scracth, Richard struggled with heavy legs from his recent excursion to the Tour of Wessex and finished just off the back of the group.

The next event was the 10 lap block handicap; RIchard on station 4 and Warren on 7. All groups were together with four laps to go. RIchard managed a top ten with Warren riding well to finish just behind.

Due to the high number of B riders competing the next event, the Devil was split into two races for even and odd numbers. Richard's legs were improving and he rode well but was sadly pulled out with two laps to go when he misjudged the number of riders left in the event.

The last event was the 10 mile for both A and B group riders. By now RIchard legs were pinging and he rode well to finish in the same straight as the leaders in about 20th place.
