Brickendon Time Trial League Week 19 - Tuesday 25th August 2009 

In Round 19 of the North Road Cycling Club’s Ken Davis Salver Series with heavy rain around Hertford, luckily missing Brickendon Green! Despite this 37 riders participated with 23 North Roaders grabbing the last points of the season. It was decided that it was going to be a Athletes Time Trial. The rules were that you must not use low-pros, tri-bars, deep section rims or disc wheels, no aero helmets and no overshoes. With the champion unavailable other competitors took full advantage to move up the rankings in the final round. Laurence Pidcock, in his only fourth Salver ride of the season, collected the last 30 points, finishing with a time of 24:04. In joint second place Jamie Anderson, riding his first event, came past the timekeeper in 24:10 with Marcus Machell. Junior member Simon East rode his personal best with a time of 27:38.
