North Road CC - Evening ‘10’ - 2016 Week 12

North Road CC – Evening ‘10’ – Tuesday 19.15 Hours 2 August 2016

This was the final event of the twelve scheduled for this summer and despite the weather there was a good turn out. The dank and miserable conditions were unable to deter the faithful helpers and riders. Times were slower for the NR riders as the final event is traditionally for machines without the advantages of tri bars and other modern fittings.

The guests’ times were noticeably faster but they were not bound by the limitations put on the NR riders. Personally on behalf of the Club I extend my thanks to all who came to the events as all present found it a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours in the company of fellow cyclists, young and old – from Graham Thompson, timekeeper.

Jobe trailed in a sorry last place, after gallantly stopping to help new rider Fiona Wallace who punctured on Robins Nest Hill.
