It was a case of déja vu in Round 5 of North Road Cycling Club’s Ken Davis Salver as Dave Candy and Ian Coles once again filled the top two places. Reigning champion Dave was in imperious form as he gained his fifth victory out of five over the 10-mile Brickendon Green course, 34 seconds ahead of Ian. Mark Lawrence and Tony Bradford could not be separated as they finished joint third, just seven seconds behind Ian.
