Results from the 2012 Hardriders
It was a case of ‘as you were’ in the 2012 North Road CC Hardriders event, as the top three were the same as the previous year.
Wouter Sybrandy (Team IG–Sigma Sports) once again rode off with the Thistle Trophy on a warm day of racing, with a course and event record of 56:36. He was followed by Matthew Bottrill (Team Drag 2 Zero) 57:32 and Ashley Cox (Team Corley Cycles) 58:49.
The first North Roader home was Tony May, who finished 31st in 1:09:43. Behind him were Gavin Lewis (32nd, 1:09:54); John McDowall (33rd, 1:09:54); Jeremy Bonn (47th, 1:13:33); Adam Spector, (56th, 1:15:26); Frank Rawlins (57th, 1:15:55); Bryan Holland (59th, 1:17:13); Michael Higgins (60th, 1:17:15); Nick Ison (62nd, 1:17:32) and Paul Bailey (66th, 1:25:35).
Tim Brown started the race, but did not finish after a crash ruled him out.
The first junior back was Welwyn Wheeler George Farrell (1:04:32) and the fastest lady was High Wycombe CC’s Karla Boddy (1:11:10).
First team of three went to Team Corley Cycles (Chamberlain, Cox, Stones) in 2:58:51.
Roy Chamberlain of Team Corley Cycles was the first Vet on Standard, followed by Julian Ramsbottom (I Ride.co.uk) and Richard Prebble.
