More helpers than riders!. Nick Harris, Ken Lovett, Peter Little, Warren Cobb, Mark Reynolds, Annabel and Graham Thompson, Alan Kennedy and grandson Adam supported the event and Richard Roomans was spotted on the road between Guilden Morden and Wrestlingworth. The village Hall at Eyeworth provided the headquarters. A warm afternoon with a north-east breeze enabled Gavin to beat the hour by the narrowest of margins with a fine ride. Our president was persuaded to ride after having ridden out from Hertford but took the short route back to the HQ on reaching the Wrestlingworth turn for the second time. Our former president promised to explore the possibility of moving the finish to the west of Eyeworth if the village hall is to be used again for club events. It would save the long trek back from the current finish near Guilden Morden.

Club 25 competitions after three events! Gavin Lewis leads with 59.59 for the fastest club event with Tony May second with 1 00 54. Nick Ison leads the Handicap competition and the Veterans competition with two recorded times after three events. Nick keep going for the 25 on 4th September at Eyeworth to record another time to collect two trophies at the end of the season. As for you absentees please support club events to make it worth while for the Club to run them and to keep the helpers interested! It is your Club.
