Stevenage 2-up time trial, 11.9 miles, Guilden Morden - Saturday 20th September 2008
Two North Road teams took part in the Stevenage 2-up over one lap of the Guilden Morden circuit ,as used in the club 25's. Richard Somerset was paired with his nemesis John McDowall whilst Jim Ewers was paired with his long term racing partner Chris Glithero.
Conditions were almost perfect and if both were fit Richard and John could have produced a sub 28 min time; however Richard was suffering from a cold and was forced to leave John on the front for about 80% of the ride, only coming through on the hills. Despite this they rode well and posted a time of 28.52 for a mid table postion.
Jim and Chris finished in 30.59.
The winners did about 25.
