The Club was blessed with a fine warm evening to start the 2018 series for the Ken Davis Salver for the men and Peggy & Geoff Bruton Trophy for the ladies.

Nick Candy has started the season in fine style here and elsewhere and was over two minutes clear of Peter Nunn. The new ladies trophy promises to be a close and keenly fought competition with Nikki Chandler and Ivana Prokopova setting the pace. 

The organisation of the event fell neatly into place and thanks go to Peter Nunn for the signage, Nikki Chandler for the refreshments, Chris Dixon assisting at the signing on desk and Gwyn Watkins at the start and finish. We have room for more riders and as ever for more helpers! To set my mind at rest I drove round the course early in the evening to make sure there were no new obstacles or hazards apart from the potholes and poor road surfaces.
