Brickendon Time Trial League Week 10 - Tuesday 24th June 2008

Halfway through the North Road Cycling Club’s Ken Davis Salver at Brickendon Green, 25 North Roaders competed for points for the 2008 competition, and was joined by 12 guest riders. Once again, Dave Candy took the 30 points with a fast time of 22:19. A good ride by John McDowall, riding his best time for 2008, finishing with a time of 23:03, to second place and 27 points. He took three seconds out of Simon Best, who in turn beat Tony May by 2 seconds. Also riding their best times for 2008 were Steve James, Mark Laurence and Simon Checkley with Dave Kiely, Warren Cobb and Barry Thurgood riding their personal bests. The overall winner was the Finsbury Park Cycling Club rider Hugh Vivian, crossing the finishing line at Brickendon Green in 21:50.
