The Weather Gods nearly forced the cancellation of the event but a window of less wet conditions enabled the event to be run with thanks to the NR members officiating and braving the damp and blustery weather. Only six hardy riders went round the course.

There was a good turn-out for the penultimate event of the series with the stalwarts helping in the background. Gwyn Watkins on duty at the start & finish, Graham Thompson holding the watches, Annabel Thompson on clerical duty, Chris Glithero pushing off, June Lacey in charge of refreshments and Jobe Usher helping with signs as a change from riding. The weather was standard for an English summer – not fantastic!

Reminder: next week is the last of the series and by tradition it's road bikes only - no TT bikes or aero bars.

The regulars were again on duty – Annabel Thompson in charge of signing on, Mark Jenkins for signage, Kathleen Jenkins for refreshments, for cakes thanks go to Leigh Harvey, Gwyn Watkins at start and finish and Graham Thompson in charge of the timekeeping. A calm and cloudy evening provided weather conditions for some good times.
