CICLOS UNO LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE SERIES (EVENT 1) Sunday 29th August 2010

John McDowall and Del Evans where the only North Road representation in this one hour plus five lap event at Hog Hill.  A stiff wind did little to ease the pace in some hard racing.  Del found the continuous effort hard to handle and was dropped after twenty minutes.  The decisive break escaped at about the forty-five minute mark, a slightly race under-cooked John  made a forlorn attempt with several others to bridge the gap, but it was not possible.  John finished rather wearily in the second group on the road.
