Looking forward to another visit to the East London circuit Hugo Evans was again present on the start line for this Southend Wheelers event on the full circuit to take in the Hoggenberg. With the usual fast start expected it was Hugo and a London CC rider who initiated the first breakaway of the day, the bunch very attentive they didn't let the two riders get too far up the road and after 15 minutes or so began to work to reel the duo in. 

With the race back together Hugo took refuge in the bunch to recover from his earlier efforts, only in the final laps did things liven up with an Islington CC rider escaping to secure the win with Hugo coming home in 6th place overall.
