Southend Wheelers Over The Hill Crits - Sun 3rd Aug 2014

More LVRC crit action at Hog Hill for John McDowall and Bryan Holland.  A slightly different format with circuits of the lower circuit mixed in with four ascents of the dreaded Hoggenberg at 20 and 40 mins and a final double climb to make four ‘proper laps’ in total.

A less frenetic crit then ensued,  probably calmed by the extra climbing and by some early escapees from the forty strong bunch.    With the first four places already claimed by break-away riders, and another mini group of three just ahead of the galloping bunch, the last climb up the Hoggenberg  for the checkered flag was really a sprint for places to fill out the top ten.  

Bryan held on in the sprint from John by half a wheel  to claim 16th (and 2nd placed B category rider) with John in 17th.
