Brickendon 10 2 Up 26.04.2026 Round 3

On a bright Spring morning 8 riders, 6 North Roaders and 2 Welwyn Wheelers, eventually made 4 teams to face the lone trainee timekeeper. A mess up with the paperwork meant that the experienced timekeeper had to leave.

The super veteran team of Jamie Anderson and John Saysell rode round in 24:11, the fastest time of the 2 Up Series. What time would they have achieved if they had both been on TT bikes?

Next fastest were Peter Anstey and Tony Marriott with a time of 26:59, 13 seconds slower than the previous week.

Eric Pailett and John Naylor were the next fastest with a time of 28:27.  Eric did not have much recovery time between cycling to Brickendon and then competing in the time trial.

Bringing up the rear were the team of Chris Dixon and Ivana Prokopova with a time of 30:00, a faster time then when riding with John Naylor the previous week, 31:30, or in the first round with Ashley Glass, 30:35. A good time considering that Ivana had ridden to the Blue Egg the previous day.
