Brickendon 10 Round 14 04/08/2026

The curse of the traffic lights strikes again.

Another hot night but at least there was a light breeze. Fifteen riders turned up to face the timekeepers 8 North Roaders and 7 guests.

The curse of the traffic lights struck again this time on the Lower Hatfield Road. A sewer had collapsed and the traffic lights could be smelt before they were seen. This had the effect of adding up to 2 minutes to riders' times. If an extra volunteer can be found to time the delay then maybe this can be taken into account for next week. Please see Discord. For this week  the riders have just taken a hit on their times.

First and second place went to the 2 Finchley Racing Team guest riders. James McCommick recorded 22:04 and Dermot Kealey 22:35.

The fastest North Roader this week was a new name, Rob Windsor, who recorded a time of 24:38. Richard Webster was the second North Roader with a time of 24:58. Richard is at the top of the points table from last week with 210 points and now cannot be beaten.

Richard Somerset came in 8th with a time of 29:37 giving him 15 points.  This now means that he is equal on points with Barbara Kubis and K comes before S.
