Brickendon 10 Round 16 18th August 2026

Tue 18 Aug 2026

The last ride in the series and 13 North Roaders on road bikes.

On the last night of the Ken Davis Salver (Open) and Peggy and Geoff Bruton Trophy (Female) 13 North Roaders turned up to ride, all on road bikes.  There were also 6 guest riders 2 on TT bikes and 4 on road bikes.

Jamie Anderson did the most amazing ride on a road bike.  He finished in 22:59 the fastest time for him this series, all the others had been on TT bikes (Round 3 23:35, Round 4 23:18, Round 12 23:10 and Round 13 23:06). Was it the thought of the last hill being timed separately that made for the extra effort?

Dermot Kealey recorded the fastest time of the night with 22:21, followed by Jamie Anderson and then Jules De Souza-Brazil with 23:09.

We retired to the village hall for tea, coffee and nibbles where Barbara Kubis was presented with a prize, supplied by Alison and Rob Windsor, for being the least fastest North Roader on a road bike.  Celebrations continued afterwards at the Farmer's Boy.
