A testing circuit was provided by the Welwyn Wheelers for the most local of the Eastern League cyclo cross series.
A tight course in mainly uphill heavy ground conditions made for hard work for the North Road trio taking part.
John McDowall came 19th out of 64 finishers in the Vet event achieving his first league points for the season.
In the later one hour race for Seniors and Elite Vets, Wassim Aldairy came 32nd with Nick Hutton 42nd out of 46 finishers
