2024 Brickendon 2-up series - round 1

Are Brian Evans and John Saysell (Vet Time Trial Stars) at the same level of fitness as last year as they went faster, to recorded a time of 24:28, (only by one second) and retain their title again?
We had a total of seven teams start with different combination of riders, on road, time trial bikes, with Abigail Cole and Mitchell Powell riding a tandem round in 25:17 and Bruce Metheringham rode by himself in 27:47 on a road bike. A large number of club members who were not riding the 10 came to see if them could pick up a bargain from Cycle jumble sale that John and Emma Saysell organised.
They joined us at the village hall for refreshments. Everyone then dispersed their own way, either to the Farmers Boy and others to watch the Amstel Gold Race.
