Chelmer Road Race, ERRl, 2/3/4 cat - Sunday 8th April 2012

Frank and myself rode in the 2/3/4 Chelmer RR today. A cold start with constant drizzle left the roads very greasy and saw a number of riders coming down on corners.

For the majority of the race all moves were marked and the occasional group of riders never getting more than a 100m.

With about 15miles to go I was involved in a few moves trying to get away but again never really getting more than 100m.

In the end it came down to a sprint and from the front I led out going way too early (thought the marshals flag was 200m to go ) with about 500-600m to go. Fading a bit towards the end 2 came around me but I managed to hold on to 3rd and Frank also finishing in the top 20.

That I think takes my points total to 49 for the season so brings up my second cat licence.
