Hog Hill Criterium Series Round 5

North Road young guns Nick Candy and Hugo Evans were in the field  for this ever popular evening circuit race series, with both our riders feeling confident. it was Hugo who kicked off proceedings by attacking on the first lap closely followed by Nick.

With the field completely strung out the race eventually settled down with our two now being marked as ones to watch, with attempts by other riders to get away coming to nothing the bunch stayed together.

Hugo and Nick stayed near the front for the duration until just before the bell lap Nick attacked of the front to string the race out again.

With everybody caught out Nick showed his fantastic form to stay just ahead of the field to record his second consecutive win at this venue. Meanwhile Hugo showed his consistency to finish strongly for 5th place and his 3rd straight top ten finish.

It was good to see two young NRCC riders riding well to show the way for future success for our club.
