Three from North Road took part. Steve James, Dave Kiely (in his first race of the season) and in his first race ever, climbing star from the Marmotte, John Rumbold. Both Dave and John found the going a bit tough and were dropped after a few laps. Steve, feeling fresh having not ridden his bike since Marmotte, stayed in contention in the main bunch, contested the final sprint but finished back in about 12th place.
