LVRC Ford CC Dunton Series Event 6, Thurs 16th July 2015‏

Steve James, John McDowall and Del Evans were on the start line for the latest round of crit racing at the Ford Motor Co test track in deepest Essex. As per usual it was a race of two halves with a block headwind in one direction and a superfast tailwind in the other. All breakaway attempts were quickly nullified by the bunch,on the last lap John attacked  of the front as the main field were cowed by the strong headwind. Noting that John had a good gap Del and Steve rolled round to the front of the bunch to block any chasers, this worked briefly but then the race sparked into life and John was caught in the sprint finale.
