A super hot evening and traffic lights!
In the 34 degree heat 12 brave souls turned up to face the timekeepers, 7 North Roaders and 5 guests. After discussions about the traffic lights that had appeared in Little Berkhamstead it was decided that as the night was so hot no one would be performing at their best so their times could take the hit if anyone got caught at the traffic lights.
The fastest North Roader on the night was John Saysell with a time of 24:21. 2nd fastest North Roader of the night was Simon Fawcett with a time of 25:11.
Now the guest riders. We had a unexpected rider, Tony Marriott who is a Welwyn Wheeler. The Welwyn Wheelers 10 had been cancelled due to low numbers and the heat. Tony's time was 25:14. The two fastest guests riders were Casper Brazier with a time of 20:06, in the heat who was disappointed not to get under 20 minutes, and Dermot Kealey with 22:48.
Afterwards we retired to the hall for fresh fruit and water
