Brickendon 10 30/06/2026 Round 9
Tue 30 Jun 2026
On a nice warm summer's evening 13 cyclists came out to face the timekeeper, 8 North Roaders and 5 guest riders. Riding for the North Road first time was Alison Windsor and for the first time this year Ashley Glass.
The issue of traffic lights raised its head again with a set being erected by the Cosy Cats Cattery. This meant that the course had to be shortened to 8.5 miles.
The fastest ride of the night was Dermot Kealey with a time of 21:35. The next 2 fastest were both North Roaders, John Saysell and Rob Windsor who both recorded the same time. The time that they recorded was 23:09 though it could be said the Rob Windsor was the fastest as his time was recorded on a road bike.
It was not a good night for mechanicals, both Paul Huckstep and Alfie Salmons DNF due to this reason
