Big Events BC 4th cat race Hog Hill. Saturday 28th June 2014.

Three North Roaders were on the start line for the latest round of 4th cat racing at Hog Hill.

Two of our juniors, Hugo Evans and Pierce McGrenaghan along with senior John Rumbold, warmed up in normal summer time conditions.  However,  as racing  commenced heavy rain put a whole new complexion on proceedings. At the halfway point  and with the circuit drying out, Hugo went off the front in the hope of forcing a break but a lap and a half later nobody wanted to play along so he drifted back into the bunch. 

Meanwhile Pierce and John continued to show strongly and at the final sprint up the Hoggenberg, Pierce collected more points towards his 3rd cat license with 5th place with John finishing safely in the bunch.
