CICLOS UNO HOG HILL SUMMER SERIES (EVENT 3)

A ‘mucho schorcio’ day at Hog Hill for North Roaders John McDowall, Del Evans, and a guest appearance by star TT’er Steve Sexton.  A  one hour plus three laps of a fast-n-furious dash round the lower circuit finishing up the Hoggenberg on the last lap.  

The pace was brisk and Del was tailed off early with several other riders.  Steve, on the comeback trail held his position well until around the half an hour before the pace told.  John, in his first race since the end of the CX season, looked generally comfortable.  The ‘break royale’ from a tiring bunch occurred at about fifty mins.  John made a big effort to bridge across and was part of the decisive ten man group.   Sadly, his bridging efforts told and in the final dash to the line he had little to give and came home in ninth place overall.
