FORD CC DUNTON VETS SERIES 7 - Thurs 31st July 2014

LVRC Thursday night crit action strayed from its normal venue of Dunton, due to resurfacing, and was held at the QE II Velo Park.  The first visit by the LVRC to this prestigious circuit attracted a large field of sixty riders including four North Road riders - John McDowall, Del Evans, Tim Brown and Eric Paillet.

A twisting and undulating circuit provided some fast paced riding.  Getting away from the clutches of a veracious pack was proving a difficult proposition.  Eric and Tim looked more comfortable further up the pack whilst John was struggling on  50x12 to make progress through a large pack.   Tim attempted to bridge across to a Finchley RT rider towards the end of the race but it came to nothing,

A small break of three did get away right at the end of the race, and took the top honours with Eric the highest placed North Roader, all of whom finished in the main bunch, in 15th with in Tim 28th and John 45th.    Del was unplaced.
