Three club members, Richard Somerset, Rod Kelson and Jeff Robinson lined up on a breezy and hot afternoon for one hour plus five laps of the lower circuit at Hog Hill for the Shaftesbury CC LVRC crits.
Unfortunately for Jeff he had yet to recover from a knee injury and was dropped after a couple of laps. Rod and Richard were active early on, jumping into breaks that were invariably caught after half a lap. With five laps to go a break of three got away and stayed off the front until the end. In the sprint Rod and Richard didn’t have the legs and finished in 12th and 14th respectively out of a field of 25 A/B's (40-49 yo).
