Anglo Polymers Road Race (St Ives CC), ERRL, 3/4cat, 90km - Sunday 13th May

On a very damp course near Huntington Trevor Burke won the Anglo Polymers road race, his second race win of the season.

Out of approximately 70 starters only 31 finished due to punctures, crashes and survival instinct. One of the non finishers was Richard Somerset who unfortunately crashed on the greasy roads on the second lap.

The race ended in a bunch sprint in the pouring rain and Trevor beat them all at the end of the 600 metre finishing straight. Despite being dropped on the last lap Ian Coles managed to regain the bunch and came 17th. Jonathan Appleby cramped towards the end and finished in 30th place.

Trevor has now gained enough points to move up to second cat. The club is now looking for a new team leader in the third and fourth cat races.
