Maldon Hilly, Woodham Walter, Essex, 18.3 mile time trial - Sunday 20th March 2011
Three North Roaders took part in the Maldon Hilly at Woodham Walter, an early couting event for the SPOCO South East competion.
On a 9 mile two lap course that was rolling and went up the steep one mile long climb of North Hill (twice!) Richard Somerset had a good performance coming home in 15th place with 51.17. John MacDowall was three places back with 51.36, Dave Kiely unfortunately failed to finish.
The race was won by top professional Alex Dowsett of Team Sky with a scorching 40.32, seven minutes ahead of the second place rider
